3M GP2 Particulate Filter 2128 with Nuisance Level Organic Vapour/Acid Gas Relief

SKU: M2128

3M™ GP2 PARTICULATE, OZONE & NUISANCE LEVEL FILTER 2128   |  PAIR

For Particulates, Ozone and Nuisance Level* Acid Gas and Organic Vapours with Low Vapour Gases.

To be used when creating welding fume, ozone, polishing and grinding particles when welding or fabricating. Also for spraying pesticides or herbicides with vapour pressure < 1.3 Pa @ 25°C.

  • Made from 3M high performance filter media for effective filtration efficiency
  • Lightweight and provides low breathing resistance
  • Suitable for use with 3M 6000/7500 Series Half Face Respirators and 3M 6000/7000 Series Full Face Respirators
  • Note that any filtering respirator should not be used for protection at airborne concentrations of contaminants above the relevant Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) levels “
  • This cartridge/filter, when used for protection against the contaminants as specified, is capable of providing the following protection levels: – With a 3M 6000/7500 Series Half Face Respirator: for particles, for airborne concentrations up to 10 times the Workplace Exposure Standard (WES) – With a 3M 6000/7800 Series Full Face Respirator: for particles, for airborne concentrations up to 50 x WES – Organic compounds with low vapour pressures (<1.3Pa @ 25 degrees Celsius) in concentrations up to 10 x WES – Ozone up to 10 x WES – Offers relief from acid gases and organic vapours at levels below the WES”
  • Nuisance levels are those below the Worksafe New Zealand Workplace Exposure Standards

Meets the performance requirements of AS/NZS 1716:2012.

What is a P2 Rating?

  • P2 is a respiratory filter rating under the AS/NZS1716 standards for use in Australia and New Zealand. Protects against mechanically and thermally generated particles.
  • Filtration rate: Filters at least 94% of airborne particles
  • Suitable for: Relatively small particles generated by mechanical processes eg. grinding, cutting, sanding, drilling & sawing
Sub-micron thermally generated particles e.g. metal & welding fumes, fertilizer and bushfire smoke, diesel exhaust & smoke and acid gases
Biologically active airborne particles under specified infection control applications e.g. viruses, bacteria, COVID-19, SARS, bioaerosols & fungus

How long will cartridges and filters last on the shelf and in use?

Stored unopened in the original packaging, 3M cartridges and filters will last five years. Once removed from their packaging, replace them after six months. The service life of cartridges and filters depends on a number of factors including the type and number of contaminants in the air, the breathing rate of the wearer, ventilation, humidity and respirator storage. Gas and vapour cartridges must be changed when contamination can be detected coming through cartridge by smell or taste. Particulate filters must be changed when breathing resistance increases and becomes uncomfortable.

There are 50 pairs in a carton.
